By using this website or our services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use them. “We” means Shuck Off LLC, a California limited liability company at 58 Aiken Way, Sacramento, CA 95819.

• An annual oyster shucking competition and the events around it.
• A pop-up oyster bar serving at markets, private parties, and other events.
• Private event and catering services, arranged by quote.
• This website, which supports all of the above.

Tickets to our main event are sold through a third-party ticketing provider. Your purchase is subject to that provider’s terms as well as these, and any refund, transfer, or exchange policy is the one shown to you at the time you buy.

Events run rain or shine. Lineups, timings, participating vendors, and the running order can change, and we may change them without notice — that is the nature of a live event. If we cancel an event outright, we will say so publicly and explain what happens to tickets.

We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who is unsafe, abusive, or breaking the law or venue rules, without a refund.

Competitors and volunteers must sign our waiver before taking part. Shucking involves sharp knives and there is a real risk of injury; the waiver says so plainly and you should read it. Competition rules, judging, and the decisions of our judges are final.

You must be old enough to take part in the role you signed up for, and old enough to legally drink before we serve you alcohol. We check identification.

Prices are the ones shown at the counter at the time you order. Card payments are processed by Square; we never see or store your full card number. If you asked us to text you when your order is ready, the text message program applies.

Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness, especially if you have certain medical conditions. Tell us about allergies before you order. We handle shellfish, and we cannot guarantee any item is free of allergens.

A quote is an offer, not a booking. A private event is confirmed only by a signed agreement and any deposit named in it. Where that agreement and these terms conflict, the signed agreement wins.

We photograph and film our events, and we use those images to promote future ones. By attending you agree that we may do so. If you appear in something and would rather not, email us and we will remove it from anything we control. Our Privacy Policy covers this in more detail.

Please don’t:

• Try to break into, overload, or probe any part of our systems.
• Scrape the site, or use it to send anyone unsolicited messages.
• Submit someone else’s personal information as if it were your own.
• Impersonate us, our staff, our competitors, or our partners.

“Shuck Off”, the Shuck Off™ logos, and the content of this site are ours. You may share and link to our pages; please don’t reuse our branding or photography commercially without asking first.

We link to ticketing, payment, and partner websites we don’t control. Their terms and privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them.

The website is provided as it is. We work hard to keep the details accurate, but we don’t promise the site will always be available or entirely error-free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of these terms or your use of our website is limited to the amount you paid us for the ticket, order, or service the claim relates to. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts in Sacramento County, California.

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top tells you when they last changed, and using the site after that means you accept the updated version.
