Born from a deep love of oysters, friendly competition, and downtown Sacramento’s vibrant food scene, Shuck Off is more than a party—it’s a full-blown shell-ebration of speed, skill, and seafood swagger.Founded by hospitality veterans Demetri Gregorakis and Sara Arbabian, Shuck Off is an annual oyster shucking competition where culinary pros (and the occasional wildcard) show off their fastest hands and cleanest cuts in front of a hyped-up live audience.We created this event to celebrate craft, community, and chaos—in the best way possible. Come for the sport, stay for the vibes, and leave with saltwater in your soul.

Known for his lightning-fast hands, surgical precision, and cool-under-pressure style, Donald took home the gold in 2024 + 2025 with a flawless final round and zero shell fragments.
